08/12/2010: On Thursday night, in Belpahari, West Midnapore, West Bengal, India, unidentified militants abducted Santosh Dutta, a worker of the ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) and then hacked him to death. Dutta’s body was discovered near his residence on 08/13/2010. No damages were reported and no group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) were responsible.
