Incident Summary:

07/08/2010: On Thursday night between 0100 and 0115, between the Tetulmari and Nichitpur stations in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India, unidentified militants blew up railway tracks, causing damage to the up and down lines. The specific motive for the attack is unknown; however, the attack occurred during the second day shutdown called by the militants to protest the killing of one of their top leaders ‘Azad’. No casualties were reported and no group claimed responsibility, but it was suspected that militants belonging to the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) were responsible.
