Incident Summary:

06/25/2010: On Friday, in Saana, San'a, Yemen, one unknown gunman fired upon Abdul al-Raqib al-Qirshi as he was leaving a hotel. Qirshi, an opposition leader who had just returned to Yemen from a 32 year exile, was wounded in the head from the gunshot and fell into a coma. He died in a hospital over a month later on 07/29/2010. Al-Qirshi was in a group who plotted a coup against Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh in 1978. No damage was reported and no group claimed responsibility.
