Incident Summary:

05/07/2010: On Friday morning at 1050, in Bag-otan, Matuguinao, Samar, Philippines, approximately 10 armed assailants fired upon soldiers guarding a polling station with M-16 rifles, killing one soldier and injuring one other, killing one rebel and wounding two rebels. No group claimed responsibility, but authorities believed that New People's Army/Communist Party of Philippines (NPA-CPP) was responsible.
