Incident Summary:

04/20/2010: On Tuesday night around 0000 midnight, in one of two related attacks, in Lankapakalu village in the Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, India, a group of armed Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants went to the home of Pangi Seethamma, a former Maoist, and beat her up, alleging that she was a police informer. Later the militants went to a nearby coffee nursery and burned down 5,000 saplings. The CPI (Maoist) claimed responsibility.
