Incident Summary:

02/01/2010: On Monday morning, in Sumisip, Basilan, Philippines, assailants detonated an improvised explosive device targeting an armored vehicle owned by Ben Hataman, a candidate for mayor in May elections, wounding three political party supporters and a relative of a mayoral candidate and damaging their vehicle. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) was responsible.
