Incident Summary:

12/24/2009: On Thursday morning, in Buso village, Mati, Davao Oriental, Philippines, approximately 30 assailants kidnapped the president of the Citizens' Crime Watch from his residence. Later that same day they released the hostage unharmed. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the New People's Army/Communist Party of the Philippines (NPA-CPP) was responsible.
