Incident Summary:

12/08/2009: On Tuesday, unidentified militants opened fire on a police patrol killing two police officers in the Sarasdangal area of Dumka district in Jharkhand. While one died on the spot, the other succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The deceased were identified as head constable Dharamvir Singh and constable Dinesh Sharma. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
