Incident Summary:

11/23/2009: On Monday evening at 1800, gunmen open fire at former Iraqi Prime Minister, Ayad Allawi's motorcade in Gailani neighborhood, Ar Rusafa district, central Baghdad, Iraq. Allawi was not with the motorcade, but two of his security guards were injured in the incident. This is the second attempt on Ayad Allawi's life. The Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) claimed responsibility.
