10/16/2009: On Friday evening, gunmen in two cars opened fire upon the deputy chief of police of the city of Samarra, Salahuddin, Iraq, in the al-Qalaa area. All six gunmen were captured and turned out to be policemen in the Samarra police force. There were no casualties in the incident.
