10/06/2009: On Tuesday evening around 1800, assailants detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in a public market in Al Amiriyah, Al Anbar, Iraq, killing eight or nine civilians, injuring between 20 and 26 civilians and five police officers, and damaging 12 cars and nine market stalls. No group claimed responsibility, but police suspected the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) was responsible.
