09/17/2009: On Thursday, four troops who were escorting teachers to work were wounded in separate shooting and roadside bomb attacks in Yala, Thailand. No group claimed responsibility however, teachers have been being targeted in the region because the Muslim rebels see them as a part of the efforts by the central government in Bangkok to promote Buddhist culture.
