09/03/2009: On Thursday morning, in Sai Buri, Pattani, Thailand, an improvised explosive device tied to a wallet exploded when a highway department official picked up the wallet, wounding the official. The explosion left a pit 40 centimeters deep. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed Muslim separatists were responsible.
