09/02/2009: On Wednesday night, in Si Sakhon, Narathiwat, Thailand, armed assailants fired upon a Muslim deputy village chief in a tea shop, killing him and damaging the tea shop. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed Muslim separatists were responsible.
