08/24/2009: On Monday morning at about 0630, in Palamau, Jharkhand, India, assailants detonated a bomb on the railroad tracks between Kumundi and Hehegarha, damaging the tracks but causing no injuries. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was responsible.
