Incident Summary:
08/10/2009: On Monday night at 0450, in Khaznah, Ninawa, Iraq, assailants near-simultaneously detonated two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices, killing between 25 and 30 civilians, wounding between 70 and 155 others, and damaging 72 homes and dozens of cars. The village was home to the Kurdish Shiite Shabak minority. No group claimed responsibility, but it was widely believed the Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) was responsible.
