07/19/2009: On Sunday morning, in the Laiqa area of Konduz, Afghanistan, armed assailants fired upon a car carrying a candidate for provincial council. The candidate and his driver were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility, however, the Taliban is suspected to be responsible.
