Incident Summary:

07/11/2009: On Saturday evening around 2130, assailants detonated a magnetic improvised explosive device attached to a car driven by government official who worked in the Council of Ministers office in the Saidiya neighborhood in southwestern Rashid district of Baghdad, Iraq, killing the government official and his wife, injuring 10 civilian bystanders and the child of the government official, and damaging the car. The Islamic State of Iraq claimed responsibility.
