07/08/2009: On Wednesday, a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) was detonated in the Sada Bawiz area of Mosul, killing nine people and wounding at least 15 others. According to reports, the blast occurred at the same time that another VBIED blast that wounded seven in al-Kabbah. No group claimed responsibility.
