07/08/2009: On Wednesday, in Baidoa, Bay, Somalia, militants beheaded two police officers with sharp weapons they claimed were "spies" supporting President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed's internationally backed government. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed al-Shabaab al-Islamiya was responsible.
