Incident Summary:

06/13/2009: On Saturday, in Than To, Yala, Thailand, assailants assaulted and killed a Buddhist rubber tapper, Kimsiang sae Tang, 53, and was beheaded in a cottage inside an orchard in Tharnto district of Yala province. On Monday, June 15, 2009, in Lang Kaset village in Than To subdistrict in Than To, Yala, Thailand, authorities found the victim's mutilated and charred body parts with a note stating the victim was killed in retaliation for the June 8, 2009 attack on a mosque in Cho Ai Rong, Narathiwat, Thailand, which killed 10 Muslims and wounded 12 others. No group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed Muslim separatists were responsible.
