06/10/2009: On Wednesday night, in Tombouctou, Mali, two armed men fired upon and killed one senior military intelligence officer in his home. No material damage or motive for the attack was reported and no group claimed responsibility, although it was widely believed the al-Qaida Organization in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) was responsible.
