Incident Summary:

05/29/2009: On Friday, a local chapter leader of the Awakening Council was targeted in a bombing as he opened his butcher store northeast of Baghdad. Khazal al-Sammarie was killed and eight other people were injured when a bomb hidden on a motorcycle parked near the store on the outskirts of Baquba. No claim of responsibility has been reported.
