05/19/2009: On Tuesday, in Marawi, Lanao del Sur, Philippines, authorities found and safely defused an improvised explosive device (IED) near the provincial governor's residence, an IED near the residence of the chairman of a local Muslim welfare group, and an IED near a bus station. No group claimed responsibility for the attempted attack.
