05/18/2009: On Monday morning, assailants detonated a magnetic improvised explosive device attached to a car transporting a police lieutenant colonel to work on 14 Tammuz Street in central Al Basrah, Al Basrah, Iraq, killing the police officer, injuring his child and one other, and damaging the car. No group claimed responsibility.
