Incident Summary:

05/16/2009: On Saturday, in Kupwara, India, militants entered the house of Ghulam Mohammad Mir and shot and killed his 22-year-old son, Reyaz Ahmad Mir. He was shot dead on the suspicion of being an informer of the security forces and blamed for killing militants in an encounter in nearby Watsar village over a month ago. No group claimed responsibility. This was one of two linked incidents.
