Incident Summary:

04/16/2009: On Thursday, seven polling booths were set ablaze by unknown assailants in Chitrakonda, Malkangiri district, Orissa, India. One vehicle and two electronic voting machines (EVM's) were also burned in the attack. No casualties were reported. No group claimed responsibility, but it was widely believed the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was responsible.
