02/19/2009: On Thursday, at about 1330, in the Karradah district of Baghdad, Iraq, assailants detonated a roadside improvised explosive device near the Vice President's convoy, wounding eight people, and damaging at least one vehicle. There were no fatalities reported and the Islamic State of Iraq claimed responsibility.
