02/11/2009: On Wednesday night, in Voronezh, Russia, unknown assailants fired on the deputy mayor of Voronezh's service vehicle, targeting the deputy mayor, Marina Pliyeva. Assailants fired on Marina Pliyeva and her driver using a pistol equipped with a silencer, and the firearm was later found at the crime scene. The deputy mayor was not injured, but the driver was seriously wounded. No group claimed responsibility.
