Incident Summary:

02/08/2009: On Sunday night, more than 50 suspected New People's Army/Communist Party of Philippines rebels raided Hacienda Nieva of 'Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. Farms' in Barangay To-oy, Himamaylan City and held 25 workers hostage, stole two firearms from security guards in the compound, and set fire to office records and a farm vehicle, destroying the records and damaging the vehicle. No one was injured, and there were no casualties. The rebels were allegedly members of the Leonardo Panaligan Command.
