Incident Summary:

01/09/2009: On Friday, National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) militants kidnapped six Indian soldiers on a routine patrol in the Zhamai area of Phek, Nagaland, India. Captain Shapam Momo was among those taken hostage. Their arms and ammunition were also taken. They were reportedly kept in the confinement at a nearby NSCN-IM designated camp in Kopamedzu. No casualties were reported and no group claimed responsibility.
