Incident Summary:

01/07/2009: On Wednesday, Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) militants killed one Indian police officer in the village of Belchar in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, India. No group claimed responsibility; however, District Superintendent of Police J.S. Watti suspected CPI-M militants. He said they are increasingly targeting policemen to create a reign of terror in the District.
