Incident Summary:

01/03/2009: On Saturday evening at about 1730, in the Karradah district of Baghdad, Iraq, assailants detonated a roadside improvised explosive device in the southwestern Az Za'faraniyah neighborhood near a group of Shia pilgrims on their way to Karbala' in observance of Ashura, killing two Shia civilians, wounding between eight and 10 others, and damaging a minibus. There was no motive reported and no group claimed responsibility.
