Incident Summary:

11/29/2008: On Saturday, 14 people, including nine teenage boys and five village guards, were abducted in Purr village in Phek, Nagaland, India. No group claimed responsibility but the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K) is suspected. They were abducted for their subsequent conscription into the outfit and were allegedly taken to Thewati village along the Indo-Myanmar border. The five village guards were released but the teenagers are still being held captive. No casualties were reported.
