10/30/2008: On Thursday, one of two aid workers, Esperancita Hupida, was released by members of the Abu Sayyaf Group in a remote village of an unknown city in Basilan province, Philippines. There were no reported casualties and no claim of responsibility for the incident (the original hostage taking attack took place on 09/15/2008 in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan, Philippines).
