Incident Summary:
10/15/2008: Unknown perpetrators, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic insurgency in Algeria, detonated a bomb targeting members of the municipal guard on a reconnaissance patrol in Talour, Algeria. Three municipal guardsmen were killed and two others were injured. Following the blast, there was a brief firefight between the assailants and the municipal guardsmen.

Criteria 1
