09/19/2008: On Friday afternoon at around 1700, unknown assailants fired upon the vehicle carrying Bekhan Zyazikov, a relative of Ingush President Murat Zyazikov, on the Nazran-Karabulak road in Nazran, Ingushetia province, Russia. The attack killed Bekhan Zyazikov and caused an unknown amount of damage to his vehicle. No claim of responsibility was made for the incident.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
