09/18/2008: On Thursday, assailants detonated an improvised explosive device in a new school in Sar Howzeh, Paktika, Afghanistan. Assailants placed two bombs at the location and then opened fire on the building after the explosions. The school was destroyed, but no injuries were reported. No group claimed responsibility.
