Incident Summary:

09/16/2008: On Tuesday, suspected Taliban militants opened fire on the convoy of the deputy governor of Ghazni on the main Kabul-Ghazni highway in Sheykhabad, Vardak, Afghanistan. The governor, Kazim Allahyar, was unhurt and there were no other injuries or damages caused by the attack. Security officials responded to the attack, although there were no arrests.
