Incident Summary:

11/18/2007: One policeman was killed after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated at a police station in Tikrit, a city in Iraq’s Salah ad Din Governorate. Officers found the IED and thought they had defused it, so they were holding onto it as evidence. There were no other casualties, and no one claimed responsibility for building and planting the IED.
