8/24/2007: Phulchandra Sah Kanu, a general convention representative for the Nepali Congress, was shot dead by Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha - Jwala Singh (JTMM-J) cadres in Ramnagari, Parsa, Nepal. Chauhan Singh, the self-identified army commander of JTMM-J, claimed responsibility for the attack. The motive behind the attack is unknown.
