Incident Summary:

07/15/2007: Four civilians were found bound, blindfolded, and shot execution-style inThavasikulam village in Vavuniya district, Sri Lanka. Shortly before the bodies were found, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the Sri Lankan military had traded artillery fire in the same area. It is not known who is responsible for the killings and it is possible the four civilians were shot somewhere else and then were dumped in the village.
