06/15/2007: Five Filipino civilians were killed and nine others were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by one unknown perpetrator detonated on a Weena bus at approximately 6:00 PM outside the terminal in Bansalan, Davao del Sur Province, Philippines. No claim of responsibility was reported.

This was the first of two attacks against Weena busses in Davao del Sur on June 15 and may have been the end result of an extortion attempt against the bus company, which had received a threatening letter on June 13. Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
There must be evidence of an intention to coerce, intimidate, or convey some other message to a larger audience (or audiences) than the immediate victims.
