Incident Summary:

01/19/2007: An assailant opened fire on Hrant Dink outside the Agos newspaper office in Istanbul, Turkey. Dink, a Turkish-Armenian editor, was killed in the assault. The assailant, identified as Ogun Samast, shouted "I shot the infidel" after carrying out the attack. He was arrested by the authorities two days later and admitted to shooting Dink.
