Incident Summary:

12/02/2006: At least 40 people were killed and 87 were injured when three huge car bomb blasts rocked a crowded street in the center of Baghdad, Iraq, as Iraqis were hurrying home before nightfall. The first blast was targeted at a Hummer jeep while the next two immediately followed. Ten shops were burned out in the blasts near Al-Wathba square, a historic commercial area popular with Shi i Kurds, and 13 civilian cars destroyed. No claim of responsibility was reported.
