Incident Summary:

11/16/2006: Suspected militants in the Indian portion of Kashmir threw a hand grenade at a paramilitary post outside the ancestral home of a top Islamic separatist leader. The grenade missed its target, hit the wall of a nearby home and exploded injuring a woman passerby. The Islamist separatist leader and chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, did not live in the home at the time of the incident. No claim of responsibility has been reported.
