Incident Summary:

11/8/2006: Members of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Fighting (GSPC) assassinated a shepherd near his home in T'kout, Algeria. The shepherd had previously reported to Algerian authorities that Islamic extremists had stolen one of his donkeys. The assailants forced the victim to a spot called Tizi Tsinaouine before slitting his throat and cutting off his head which was subsequently placed onto a stake. The GSPC members also stole eighty sheep belonging to the victim.
