Incident Summary:

10/12/2006: Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) rebels exploded a claymore mine in Jaffna district, Sri Lanka, killing two police officers and three civilians. It is believed that the rebels were targeting a vehicle carrying members of the Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP). Two members of the EPDP and one Sri Lankan Army member were purportedly injured in the attack, although these injuries were not confirmed by a credible source.
