Incident Summary:

10/12/2006: Rabah Aissat, the chairman of the People's Assembly for Tizi Ouzou, was shot and killed by a gunman while he sat at a café in Ain Zaouia, Algeria. Four other Algerian civilians at the café were wounded in the attack. Nassim Ben Mohand and Kaddour Arezki were convicted of both planning and carrying out the assassination.
