Incident Summary:

02/25/2006: A car bomb exploded in a market in Karbala, Iraq, killing eight people and injuring 31 others. A suspect arrested after the explosion said that the intended target was the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, but parked the vehicle on a main road after he could not penetrate the checkpoints. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
